FEBRUARY 7 , 2008

Hey everybody. Happy New Year and all that shit. Not too much to say as yet as we've been holed up writing like crazy since our last jaunt down the west coast. However, I would like to say that we're playing an awesome show at the end of the month. It marks our return back to El Corazon during their 3rd year anniversary. Not only that but we're also lucky to be sharing the stage with such good bands as Mouth of the Architect, Past Lives(which is the other new Blood Bros band) and Helm's Alee (and if you haven't seen or heard them yet there's something wrong with you!). Anyway it promises to be a killer fucking night as per usual so head down there February 22nd at 7pm. Get there early too as every band playing will slay. That's all for now. Oh and before I forget we also were able to finally make the long trek from our practice space to the fine folks over at Merch Squad to get some new TShirts and Hoodies in there for you guys. Check em!

NOVEMBER 20 , 2007

So here we are in November already?! What?! It seems like this year just started! Anyway, just a couple things to tell this time around. Yet another Seattle show is about to happen right quick(the 29th to be exact) but most of you Seattle folks already knew that. It's another free one but unfortunately it's also 21+. Sorry to the underaged crew! It's just the way it worked out. We'll make it up to you! We'd also like to say thank you to everyone that we just played with in the past 2 weeks. It was way too fast but we got a hell of a lot in. So thank you to Jesu, Oxbow, Moonrats, Isis and 27 for putting up with us for more than one show and all the other bands we played with for just one! There's too many of you to name.
On a collector note. We are at the tail end of almost all of our vinyl. That's right. It's going out of press for a little while. We're having some shipped here but that's the last of it. So get it while you still can. It will be back once we figure out a good way to bring it back. We're thinking of repackaging all of it and also possibly making it available in one big box of some kind. We'll also be adding the Harkonen split we did in vinyl form. It's about time we did that shit. As mentioned before we're still trying to figure out the best way of doing this so keep your eyes peeled here for when we decide to actually make a formal announcement. This is more of an announcement to let you know there may be an announcement on the matter. Soon(ish). Maybe. Or maybe not. Either way it will be good.

OCTOBER 31, 2007

Happy Halloween and shit. We, here in the snakes camp, have some minor updates. Mostly in the tour section but to clarify what you've probably already read, Brian is, in fact, still in the band. Although he does look very hippy-like these days that dirty guy stage right is definitely still Brian. However, he is also pulling some extra duties helping the amazing Russian Circles write and record their next full length. He will also be pulling double duty at a few upcoming shows at the end of November and mid-December when the Circles and Snakes share the stage. Booyah.

Oh and before I forget we finally managed to record an old song of ours for our upcoming split with Pelican. We reworked Diggers of Ditches Everywhere from our first EP. It's much slower and actually heavier than before. We've sent off the tape(aka hard drive) to the Pelicans so they can make that song even that much more heavy. We also managed to demo a few new tracks which we may be trying out on this upcoming tour. Brown sauce 4-eva!

SEPTEMBER 17, 2007

What is up?! Didn't think you'd see anything new here for a while, no?! Indeed we're busy in the snake's camp. Now that we're fresh off touring for almost a year straight we've decided to get back to writing. What a year it's been too! We've done 3 US tours, 3 European tours, and also made it to Japan and Australia. Thank you to everyone we've met, toured or played with, drank with or towed us to the nearest mechanic.
It's all very much appreciated.
We've also got a new webstore up and running with the killer dudes over at Merch Squad. We'll be getting some hoodies in there real soon for
the coming cold. We'll let you know when that shit is in there.

We've also got a sort of new release coming your way later this year via Hydra Head. It's a split with Pelican where they redo one of their old songs and we added parts to it and we'll be redoing one of our old songs and they add their own flavor to it. Brilliant. We promise to not redo a shitty old song. Do we even have any of those? Aren't they all winners? Oh and we also tracked a cover for an upcoming comp. It's an Ace of Base tribute album. We're super pumped.
And last but definitely not least we're doing a small run of dates in early November with Jesu! Unfortunately we'll only be hitting the west coast on this one. Sorry to everyone who doesn't live in one of those 3 states or this country for that matter. We'll be finishing those dates up with old friends, Isis. And it's a glorious occasion to boot! It will be their 10th anniversary as being a band! Congratulations to those old timers. Oh and just kidding about Ace of Base. It's actually Darryl Worley's Have You Forgotten? Really though it's Heart Shaped Box by some band called Nirvana. More on that as it turns up. Booyah.
